Larmer Tree Festival (a rather belated post!)

Wednesday 19 September 2012

I'd like to share my photos from Larmer Tree Festival - I went in July and for some reason have only got round to sharing these now! I was lucky enough to attend the festival to take photos for a review my boyfriend was undertaking of the festival which you can read here.

I love festivals but had never been to Larmer Tree before. Most people have not really heard of it but we had because the Larmer Tree Gardens (where it is held) are very close to our hometown of Salisbury. It's a lovely small family friendly festival with a high standard of music - lots of acoustic/folky types with a bit of indie, pop and world music thrown in there.

We went with some friends and I had such a good weekend. It was raining most of the time and very muddy but amazingly this did not the dampen the spirit at all, which is pretty amazing for me as even though I have been to many festivals I had not yet encountered a mudfest quite like this.

I took many, many photos - but here are a small(ish) selection of my favourite ones.

Adventures in London town

Monday 10 September 2012

Having recently moved to London I have been spending most of my free time walking around the city and taking photos. It's probably what I plan to do for most of my weekends! If you haven't already gathered - I quite enjoy taking photos. My friends hate me for it, but I know one day they will thank me when they look back at their fully photo documented lives.

Last week I popped down to FNO with my little sister to have a little wander round (and eat lots of macarons). It was amazing to not just look at the events and displays put on by the different stores but to just stare at most of the immaculately dressed people. I felt really rather unfashionable!

Yesterday an old house mate from Vancouver arrived in London for the first time! She has just started a 3 month backpacking holiday around Europe and naturally we spent the day visiting all the usual tourist spots and laughing at her being excited by old buildings and red buses.
